COVID-19, Vaccine & Mask FAQ

Jefferson County Board of Public Health (JCPH) Public Health Order 21-006. 

The new JCPH Order requires all individuals ages 3 and older to wear a mask or cloth face covering when in indoor public spaces in Jefferson County, regardless of vaccination status. The Order became effective November 24, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. and will remain in effect at all times while Jefferson County is in Substantial or High Transmission.

Do I have to wear a mask during my massage?

If you are willing and able to provide proof of vaccination, you are NOT required to wear a mask during your massage, at this time.

 

This is because Mountain Therapeutic Massage LLC has been granted temporary status as an Approved Fully Vaccinated Facility by Jefferson County. This status provides exceptions to the Order for businesses that voluntarily implement proof of vaccination requirements for all staff and patrons. This temporary status is valid until December 10. If and when permanent status is approved, this page will be updated. 

Please note that because my office is located inside another facility, Alpine Ridge Salon and Day Spa, you are still required to wear a mask while passing through Alpine Ridge and while using our shared bathroom.

If you are not able or willing to provide proof of vaccination, you must abide by the current mask mandate. This includes while you are face down on the table. A disposable mask will be provided if you do not arrive with one. 

If you would like to cancel your appointment because of the mask mandate, you will not be charged a cancellation fee, but please cancel in advance so someone else can take your slot.

Are you, Sheri, vaccinated?

Yes. I have been fully vaccinated since April 2021 and received my booster on November 17, 2021.

Will you, Sheri, wear a mask during my massage?

Yes. Even though I am not required to wear a mask (as an Approved Fully Vaccinated Facility,) I choose to wear a mask out of an abundance of caution and also to allow my guests to feel more comfortable removing their masks if they choose to. 

What else are you doing to keep me safe and help prevent the spread of COVID-19?

Mountain Therapeutic Massage LLC continues to strictly adhere to all safety regulations and sanitation protocols provided by massage industry professional organizations, the CDC and state and local health and governing authorities. This goes beyond simply changing linens and blankets between each client and following mask and handwashing protocols; it also includes HEPA air purification and using EPA-certified disinfectants between each client on all surfaces that the therapist or client may have touched, including all doorknobs, bottles, bolsters, electronics, furniture, etc.  This requires more time between each client, therefore scheduling protocols have also been adjusted to allow sufficient time for proper disinfection. In addition, Mountain Therapeutic Massage is prepared to stop practice immediately if any clients or I, or anyone I've been in contact with, demonstrate COVID-19 symptoms or test positive, for at least two weeks, to verify that I am not contagious or a carrier. 

What should I do if I feel sick or have tested positive, or have been exposed to someone who is sick or tested positive? Will I be charged a cancellation fee?


If you have, or you recently had, a fever, any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath, or if you've been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who was diagnosed with COVID or has COVID-type symptoms, please do not come in for your massage. You can reschedule or cancel your appointment without penalty.  Please notify me as soon as possible via the contact info below.
